At Cady O'Daly Farm, we enjoy keeping up with our past horses, especially those sired by our stallion Tre Awain Goldsmith. There are few things more exciting as a breeder than seeing new relationships blossom and new partnerships forged. We always enjoy hearing how our horses are doing in their careers.  If you bought a horse from us in the past, please contact us - we would love to hear from you!

Glendale's Earl Grey

Picture
We're pleased that Glendale's Earl Grey ("Earl") was sold in late July to our good friend Penni Korb in Virginia. Penni also owns one of our homebreds Cady O'Daly Silver and Gold (Tre Awain Goldsmith x Ridgetop Cady O'Daly). Earl was owned and bred by Glendale Farm in Berryville, VA and was sired by the stallion Concord River Roaringwater Bay. He's a fabulous jumper with the sweetest personality. We look forward to hearing about his adventures in the huntfield with Snickersville Hounds!

Tully Cross Declan

Picture
Bred by our friends at Tully Cross Farm, and owned by fellow eventer Ann Baumgardner, Tully Cross Declan was a promising 4yo Connemara/TB gelding who sold within record time here in July 2012 (one week!). He was bought by the Gailey family of Georgia and will be launching his eventing career in the near future.

Tuxedo Sam

Picture
Tuxedo Sam was owned and loved by our Pony Club friends, the Daniel family. The children loved "Sammy" and enjoyed great success with him in the hunter ring. He's now being shown down in Georgia as a children's pony. Sold in June 2012.

Junior

Picture
Junior was a sweet and charismatic Connemara/Paint gelding who was adored by Pony Clubbers. He was sold in March 2012 to a family in Chicago for their young children to enjoy.

Cady O'Daly Liberty

Picture
"Libby" is a wonderfully talented and very sweet "Tag baby" who earned top honors on the jumper circuit, transitioned to a foxhunter in 2012, and is gearing up for her eventing career in the deep South with Robyn Taliaferro. Sold in July 2012.

Cady O'Daly Traveller

Picture
Travelelr was one of our favorite homebreds, and we sold him to one of our long-time friends, Mary Cross, in May 2012. Traveller was sired by Tag, and is out of Cady O'Daly Riddle (Aladdin's Denver x Oaktree Greystone Colleen), making him one of our first 2nd generation homebreds. He's one of the sweetest, best-moving, and most athletic young horses we've ever had - we miss him, but we are so happy he's being spoiled and loved by Mary every day!

Pumpkin

Picture
In April 2012, we helped our good friend Mary Cross transition her lovely Haflinger mare Pumpkin to a new home with Mary's daughter, and our longtime friend, Cassie. Pumpkin is enjoying the good life with Cassie down in North Carolina, while Mary has fun with Traveller.

Merlin

Picture
Merlin was an exceptionally bred Welsh/Holsteiner gelding, aimed for the pony hunter ring before he grew oversized. Sweet, fancy, and genuine, he's now headed for an eventing career with our friend Debbie Busta in Ohio and Aiken! Sold in March 2012.

Cady O'Daly Michael

(Tre Awain Goldsmith x *Cloud Shadows)
Mikey is a lovely blue-eyed creme homebred whom Alicia competed through Novice and foxhunted. He was then sold to Logan Elliott, a junior in Maryland who's won nearly every event they entered! We were so proud to watch them beat dozens of horses at the 2011 American Eventing Championships in Fairburn, GA in the Junior Beginner Novice division, the largest class at the show. We're looking forward to hearing about their success in 2012!

Cady O'Daly Gabriel

(Tre Awain Goldsmith x *Cloud Shadows). Gabe is Mikey's full brother, and equally as sweet and talented! He had a fantastic eventing and Pony Club career with Allie Farley and was then leased to fellow Pony Clubber Stephanie Schirmer. In October 2011, Gabe was sold to Emma Ciafone, a junior in Colorado. They make an adorable pair and are looking foward to their eventing career!

Cady O'Daly Punchline

Picture
(Tre Awain Goldsmith x Oaktree Greystone Colleen)
Tobey, one of the sweetest ponies we've ever bred, enjoyed a great start in his eventing career with Alicia and Emily, and after completing his Novice season was sold to adult amateur Susan McLaughlin out in Colorado. Susan hopes to compete Tobey at the AEC! Emily's husband Josh also got his first taste of eventing with Tobey and they competed in several local events in 2010.

Cady O'Daly Goldkeeper

Picture
(Tre Awain Goldsmith x TB mare)
Keeper and Alicia competed successfully through Training level eventing, dressage, and jumper shows scoring many wins along the way before she was sold to an adult amateur, Robin Ridgeway, out in Indiana. The pair are enjoying their new partnership and look forward to competing in eventing and dressage shows.
