Sold - Amigo

2010 purebred Connemara gelding. Sired by Tre Awain Goldsmith, and out of Ridgetop Cady O'Daly (by Aladdin's Denver).
"Amigo" is one of our favorite homebreds. He's incredibly athletic, has lovely gaits, and is very uphill and balanced for a young horse.
Amigo is very straightforward and uncomplicated - suitable for a junior, amateur, or even a pro who would like a nice young horse to bring along. He's lovely on the flat - very soft in the bridle, moves nicely off the leg, and is a forward-moving horse with plenty of impulsion. Amigo loves to jump and is schooling and showing 2'6-2'9 courses. He is ready for Beginner Novice eventing, hunter/jumper, dressage, etc. Or a bit of everything! We've taken him on several hunter paces and he was very good, so he would probably foxhunt as well. He has shown lightly at the local level (including overnight shows) and was very good and sensible...he loves having a job!
Both of his parents evented through Training level, and we think he'll make an excellent sport horse. His dam, Cady, is a premium mare with the ACPS and is a fantastic sport horse, having earned top results in eventing and jumpers, as well as enjoyed a career in foxhunting and Pony Club. Read more about his sire here - Tag frequently stamps his offspring with his athleticism, wonderful movement, and laid-back personality. With his sweet personality, good bone, and athletic conformation, Amigo is an excellent example of his breed. Amigo has a lovely swinging walk with a huge overstep, a pleasant swinging trot, and a lovely uphill canter. Amigo is very inquisitive and quite a bold little fellow! He has nice manners, stands in the cross ties, is handled on a daily basis (mane pulled, groomed, etc.), is good for feet trimming, loading, etc. Sheds out to a beautiful black in the spring and fall. ACPS registered.
