Cady O'Daly Farm offers purebred and halfbred Connemara sporthorses, with a special emphasis on eventing. Most of our horses are sired by our Connemara stallion, Tre Awain Goldsmith, who had a very successful career in the eventing, jumper, and dressage worlds.   Whether your goals involve dressage, trail riding, eventing, foxhunting, or jumping, consider our Connemara performance horses for your barn or breeding program.

We strive to produce conformationally correct athletes who are sound in both mind and body.  Primarily we breed crossbred sport horses for the ambitious amateur who is ready to downsize but still remain competitive. Connemara sport horses are also the perfect size for juniors who've outgrown their ponies.

Tre Awain Goldsmith, known as 'Tag,' is a proven performance horse stallion, and would make the perfect sire for breeding your next Connemara Sport Horse. We have both green and unstarted young stock by him out of our lovely mares for sale. Please visit our Virginia farm at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The horses would love to meet you.

                                            Alicia Daily

                                            Picture
Alicia Daily has been involved in horses her whole life. Her mother, Alice White, was a pillar of the horse community in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she was an active foxhunter and trainer. Both Alicia and her siblings enjoyed training and competing horses for hunter/jumpers, dressage, eventing, and foxhunting. Alicia is a B Pony Clubber, and frequently coaches up-and-coming eventers. She's passionate about the young homebred Connemaras, and has had great success over the years with our stallion Tre Awain Goldsmith and his progeny. An accomplished artist, Alicia is the proud owner of Hands On Pottery.

Richard ('Dick') Daily helped Alicia accomplish her vision for the farm through numerous projects and exciting ventures over the years. Dick can usually be found on the tractor, doing something handy around the farm, or visiting his favorite foals with his trusty Welsh corgi Duke. In 2010, Dick retired as United Methodist Minister after 35 years, and has been enjoying his new work as a Project Consultant for Lynchburg Stained Glass.

                                            Picture
Emily Daily grew up, literally, amongst ponies. She spent her childhood riding Connemaras in Pony Club, hunter/jumper shows, events, and breed shows, and is happy to continue living the dream. Emily currently works as the editor for the U.S. Eventing Association's magazine, Eventing USA. She enjoys bringing young homebreds up the levels at the farm with her husband Josh Walker.

                                            Picture
Allison Daily has always been fond of animals, but didn't share the same passion for horses as Alicia and Emily. Allison is very artistic, and frequently enjoys visiting Cady O'Daly Farm to cuddle with the corgis and kitties.

Josh Walker, Emily's husband, fell in love with horses later in life, and gave up surfing in lieu of horseback riding shortly after moving from his home in California to Virginia. Since then, he's enjoyed riding several of the Cady O'Daly Farm homebreds, and even competes on occasion. A passionate photographer, musician, and designer, Josh owns his own multimedia business, Red Horse Media, and is the Art Designer for the USEA. He also owns a precocious young Irish Draught gelding named Kilronan Slane Hill ('Patrick').
